Dec. 15th, 2011 09:43 pmwell poop. i had an idea in mind to make for the kids in my classroom for Christmas, but after testing this idea out on a few bags, im finding that its not working, and now i am stuck.
my original (via some parenting magazine) idea was to paint a portion of a tote bag with chalkboard paint, and after gluing some ribbon around it, i would have cute chalkboard totes to give to each of my students, however, in an attempt to be frugal, i bought bags from Oriental Trading, and they are too porous to hold the paint, so now i have a bunch of totes and chalkboard paint, and no idea what to do with them.
i was trying to figure if there was some sort of other medium i could paint that would both be solid enough to hold the paint AND be easily attached to the bags. if that cannot be easily obtained, what are some other ideas to create for about 20 kids in less than a week?
help please!!
