Kitty Friendly
May. 9th, 2012 04:14 pmDespite the fact my husband and I agreed that we wouldn't be getting any pets while he's stationed overseas, he could tell I was seriously missing having a cat. So for Mother's Day, he set it up for me to adopt these two 3-year-olds.

Dolce (black) and Dior (white tabby)
I just had to show off my new babies, but because a picture wasn't necessary in order to ask my question, I thought a cut would be best. *ahem* So yeah...
My two new kitties are in need of a scratching post before they decide to take a liking to any of the furniture. I want to make something like this. However, I don't know what kind of glue to use between the layers of cardboard. It needs to be something that isn't harmful to animals in the event they want to chew on it like the cat in the picture. I'm also wanting to cover the base with hemp rope, so the glue needs to be super heavy duty to keep the rope in place. Any suggestions?
