Wood you help me? (HA! God, I'm lame.)

Okay, so I have a spiffy new apartment to decorate. I want to make a coffee table. The only problem is I need certain cuts of wood, but alas, I do not have a saw. Does anyone know if a hardware store that sells lumber (ala Home Depot or the like) would be able to make specific cuts for me? I desire to make the lite brite table in issue 6 of ReadyMade. Any suggestions? Also, where would I be able to find masonite? Muchas gracias.
