For you lovely ladies (and gents) who were thinking about learning to crochet:

I was at Joann Fabrics yesterday and they have this kit that supports breast cancer awareness and profits go to the charity. It includes pink yarn (to make a scarf like the famous pink ribbon), a big crochet needle and instructions on how to crochet. It's cheap and well worth the 8bux not only if you don't know how to crochet, but if you do and need a big honkin' needle (I don't remember the exact size).
