Oct. 16th, 2003 07:48 pmthis one will be for my boyfriend's b-day filled with cut out paper x's and o's
and this one will be handed out to all the ppl at our halloween party and filled with candy and whatnot
Supplies needed:
Small box (or any openable container like tupperwear, an easter egg etc)
scissors
markers or paint
glue
yarn
paper or poster board
stuff to fill the box (confetti, glitter, candy, toys etc)
1. If needed decorate the box/container to your liking (if you couldn't find a box you could always make one out of cardboard)
2. Decide how much space you want to be inbetween the lid and the bottom of the box when it is open, now cut a piece or yarn slight larger than that.
3. Glue (or staple or tape if you prefer) a pice of yarn to the middle of the inside of the lid of the container
4. Glue the other end to the middle inside the base of the container
5. Cut out shapes from thick paper for writing you message(s) on. Make sure you have two of each shape and feel free to decorate this also
6. Write you message spread out along the shapes (you have ot look at the pictures to understand what I'm trying to explain)
7. Now take the two matching pieces that will be the top shape and glue them together with the yarn in between them. And procede untill you have them all glued together
8. Fill the box will whatever small things you'd like
9. shut container while making sure the yarn and message are on top of all the other stuff you but in the container.
