Sparkly Vinyl

So I had to buy this fabric,



it's a magenta sparkly vinyl fabric, who could resist. However I've had it for a year now and haven't thought of anything to make out of it. So I'm looking for some suggestions, any idea? I've got about 2 yards of it.

Im trying to get back int eh swing of things, and i heard this community was pretty cool, so I decided to join.
I'm dying to start or project two but i dont know where to start.

I'll be going to college in two weeks and moving into a dorm. Id like to make the little space I'll have to myself really creative. I cant paint the walls or do any "damage" to the room. Any suggestion on things I can do?

I dont know how you all feel about craft books, but i like reading them and getting ideas. Any book suggestions.

Crochet patterns?

I *just* learned to crochet, and I'd really like to make an afghan or whatever, but all the patterns I've found are WAY too complecated for me! Does anybody know of a good pattern/book/website with easy patterns, or have any good crocheting advice?
