The sculpey website suggests using futura floor wax as a finish on polymer....I also noticed in the new issue of Expression that they suggested using futura floor finish on the domino jewelery art. Is this the same thing? Anyone used the futura stuff on jewelery and have any insight? I hate to use something and find out it doesn't hold up for shit so I would love some opinions from y'all!

Hi there.
I'm in contact with someone at National Braille Factory (they make, among other things, raised line coloring books for blind children) about their potentially designing a Chaunkah coloring book for blind children (they have a Christmas one, it seemed only fair). They emailed me, and they loved my suggestion; but they want websites or other resources for their graphic designer to get ideas from for images in the coloring book. I tried looking around Google, but I got a lot of the same stuff over and over again... They need ten images. Help?

In visiting the site to one of my favorite suppliers, they had this feature on a solution you can treat fabric with and then be able to run it through an ink jet printer...which i thought sounded deliciously cool.

Today I learned how to knot a string of beads using silk thread and french wire.

The results of the 2 hours are here and here.

The blue necklace is made from round fossil beads (a dyed limestone, I believe) and blue howlite square cylinders on royal blue silk thread. The two accent beads are actually blue on the top half and yellow on the bottom and look really nice.

The grey necklace is made from small ovals of silver leaf jasper and large round black fossils on black silk thread. Silver bead caps were used to highlight the large beads and two silver beads are on either side of the accent bead in the middle which doesn't show up so well in the photo. It's a hand carved stylistic bone flower.

I can't wait to make more necklaces! I love making them. :)
