Just a note to say I would very much like to try my hand at mosaic and that MisterArt rocks my world.

We can now return to our regularly scheduled programming. Thank you very much.

Hey!
Well...first time poster, I joined this community maybe a few days ago and I love it. Very inspiring...and helpful. So now I have a bit of a dilemma and I hope the craft goddesses will help me :o) I have five calendars or so of horses and wolves...and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I could do with the pictures...I put a few up on my walls but there's only so much room amongst my other pictures. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated^^

Thanks,
Suzanne

Hi I'm new. I do have a question: where can I get my hands on some cigar boxes? My family used to use them to store photos, but they're all gone now.

I made a little bag last night, not using a pattern or anything (I've yet to take the time to learn how to read patterns!) and I think it came out okay. It's my first non-scarf knitting project.

Centaur

This is something I made out of paper mache then covered with Sculpey. Now I have to finish painting it and I am lost. I am NO painter by a long shot. Can anyone point me in the direction of some tips on painting breasts? I did a Google search and just got a lot of porn stories :-(

Here's what I've been into. I had a sewing bonanza Saturday with my buddy Erin.
I'm going to post my first pattern soon but not right this second.

Check out the goods )

ENJOY!
Take care all,
Sammy

The incredibly long scarf I'm knitting in stockinette stitch is having a case of curling. The sides curl in on themselves to the point that I have a long narrow tube, with the purled side out. Is there something I can do now to rectify the problem? Or something I can do next time? Or at least, why does it do this???

Frustrated,
Elysia.

My webhosting site is going paid. I need a free one! Anyone know of any good ones where I could transfer my pictures?

Sorry this isn't craft related. But I need a place to host crafty pictures!

Hello everyone! Theres a new kid to the community and just thought I'd share a hello.

Today, I feel all crafty. I made a plaid skirt a few days ago, its fun. I will try to post pictures soon. I also made cutesy hair pins, easy to do too. I just got some bobby pins and super glue, dressed up the pins with safety pins, everyone thinks its cute ^^. Days like this make me wish I had a digital camera :(

Any ways, I have a few questions.

Ok. This summer, I plan to do some traveling, I'm talking about a LOT of it. I need a unique looking suitcase, so I can recognize it easily and such. Well I spent the past few weeks searching for some kind of luggage that isn't the basic ugly carpet looking box thing. Is there a way I can change the fabric without ripping the thing apart? Or even better, is there a way I can re-upholster it, or place fabric over it?

If you can help, thanks a billion. Just I need something that isn't too costly, is durable and easy to do.
Time isn't an issue on this too, I got pleeenty of time.

If you can help me out, it would be so awesome. By the way, this community is the greatest! I think I have already fallen in love with the Memory page. ^^

Cross-posted, sorry for the repeats.

Here's a little card i just finished stitching. Sorry the picture quality is not super great. (How do you stitchers get good pictures of your work? Do you scan rather than photo them? i used a digital camera for these.)

A little card )

My roomate and I have acquired a kitchen table that is pretty freaking ugly. It is wood varnished in a light brown color, and will seat about 4 comfortably. My question is: How do we make it less ugly? None of our ideas have been inspiring enough to actually do. Thanks for your help!
