I made this for myself the other night, I have one bag which I made new flaps for so I don't have to have a ton of bags, just one with interchangeable flaps. I really need to take a better photo but this is good enough for now. I'm getting that skull as my next tattoo. :)

The covers of this book are made with paper I handpainted and waxed with beeswax. This gives them a leathery texture and some degree of water resistance.

The interior covers and spine reinforcements are made with recycled kraft-brown shop paper. This paper has a subtle tan-on-tan stripe.


- 5.5" x 3.25" (14 cm x 8 cm)
- 160 pages.
- Bound with oatmeal-colored waxed Irish linen thread.

I sell jewelry at my local farmer's market, and I needed an inexpensive way to protect my expensive items from theft so I went to my local pet store and purchased these "critter/reptile" aquariums (less expensive than water-tight aquariums) and turned them on their sides:

So far they've been working great, and I think I only paid about $14 each for them! As you can see, I also made a few copper trees on which to display some items as well.

And so this post actually includes a craft, here is a little copper and fluorite ring I threw together. I call it my "crystal ball ring":
