Feb. 17th, 2011 04:17 pmOk, Modge Podge purchased and used! I'm not overwhelmed by it but it seems good. The issue I am having now is my material (I think).
I am decoupaging comic books onto various things but every time I use the comic book pages (newer books, nothing that was printed before 2009), they wrinkle like crazy as the glue dries, even if I smooth them out immediately (using my fingers or popsicle sticks). Also, as I smooth them, they tear a little on the surface and the print is then disrupted! I've been decoupaging with magazines for almost 12 years without this issue so I am convinced that the pages themselves are causing the problem. Does anyone have any advice on how to work with thinner paper? I really want these to look nice so I can begin selling them, if I was using them I wouldn't care lol.
Edit:
not sure if it matters but I am putting the modge podge on the back of the paper, not the front (yet).

So my daughter's birthday is Saturday and I've had all kinds of questions on what she's going to wear.
I had bought a cute (and cheap, like 2 dollar cheap) "birthday girl" shirt a couple of months ago for the occasions. However, it's Texas and the weather just isn't cutting it for long sleeve. SO, since I don't sew (I really want to learn but between work, school, home, I haven't found the time YET) I did the best that I could.
I also had to add an accessory. So look behind the cut for pictures on my revamped Birthday girl shirt and matching OWL Bow. It was my first time making a bow also. Really fun and addictive!
