Using a piece of cardboard from a calendar, some craps of patterned paper, and small pictures cut from an old calendar, I made a quick playhouse for animal figures. It fold up flat for storage and portability:

Can anyone give me some inspiration?

  • I have lots of lovely fabric and am trying to think of small things I can make from it.  Currently I make zip purses, fabric covered photo frames, and hairbands.  I'm thinking of making small lavender pillows to scent drawers...Any other ideas?  Links to tutorials or photos of finished items would be lovely!
  • What can I make from ribbon?  I have some beautiful 16mm wide vintage My Little Pony ribbon and I don't know what to do with it!  Again, tutorials/photos would be great!
Thanks everyone!

My 2nd and my 4th finished needle-felting projects here in this photo. Plus a work-in-progress carved antler top. Click for bigger or go under the cut for bigger.

I am a little more obsessed than is healthy over Inception (movie) and decided to undertake felting a spinning top a few months ago. Then recently did a 2nd. And just might keep making more. lol.

The colors of the felted tops were chosen to match the colors of two character's wardrobes in the movie... I swear the unfortunate shape + color combo on one of them was unintentional and I noticed it way way too late to fix. :(

They do indeed spin. :) Not as straight as the silver one in front as it is casted steel.
