I've had a couple of requests about how this was made so I'll try to explain and include details of supplies as best I can..

each "leg" of the web is about 8 inches long. These can be made much smaller as desired for thinner hair or piggytails(!). There is no specific pattern. I cut 4 lenghts (more may be desired to make web thicker or fuller. For short or straight hair you may want a thicker web) of gold wire (about 26 gauge), Using needle nose pliers curl one end of each into a loop,

leave the other end open for beading. String each length all the way to the opposite end with black seed beads (unsure of gauge but even the larger ones would do!) leaving enough space at end to curl another loop. Tie all of the lengths together at the middle with clear fishing line (I use 8lb. test).

Pull the lengths apart to form an 8 (or more!) legged "star". beading onto the fishing line. Now you will want to place enough beads on it to fill the space between two of the legs near the center. which two does not matter. getting started with this portion of the beading is little difficult to explain? as the space between the legs at the center is smaller that the outer edges you will have to eventually fill the line with more beads as you work your way out to the ends. When I filled up a space to where it reaches the next leg I just twisted the line around the wire (twice to be safe!). It will go between the beads and continuing beading onto the line will hold it in place. If you make it too taught it will distort the web and it will be bent. You almost have to get the exact amount of beads onto the line to fill the space. OR you may like it that way! Continue doing this until you reach an outside loop. I stopped here and tied it off. You can cut and choose to string a small ribbon or cotton string thru the loops to pull taught over your hair(in a bun or small pigtails). Just place the flat web over your hair and pull! You may have to tuck in some fly-aways but be careful to not bend the web legs too much! It sounds complicated and I hope I was able to explain it well enough as not to confuse too many of you too much! It really is VERY simple! Just tedious! I hope you like the results of your work as much I liked mine! Please send me pictures!!!!!
