Craft Grrl with a Craft Boy!
Dec. 2nd, 2003 11:15 pmTonight I made some ornaments... and my boyfriend did too!

This is what my boyfriend made... it's my initials in a heart and a unicorn :)

This is the whole gang of the ornaments I made.

this is the tree close up

these are the whales close up.
How It's Done
You need:
Colored Sculpey
Rolling Pin
Wax Paper
Cookie Cutters
Glass Pie Plate
an oven.
Roll around the clay in your hand and make it all nice, warm & pliable. Roll it into a ball then slam your fist of justice into it to make it somewhat flat. At this point, it's good to start rolling it out with the rolling pin until it's about 1/4" thick. Then, take your cookie cutter and stamp out your shape. Place in glass pie plate and put eyes or other decorations on it. Make sure you press the decorations down so that it doesn't fall off after baking. Poke a hole in the top with a pen or a chopstick to make a hole for threading the ornament. Bake your dudes for 15 minutes at 275 degrees. I baked mine longer because I think my oven runs slightly cooler than others. Let cool before taking them off the plate.
