sewing by hand

I'm so sorry to reask this question! but i've checked the FAQ section with no luck and i've browsed over the last 5 days of entries and still can't find it! I know I saw someone post it recently...damn!.... Anyway, my sewing machine is still needing some work before I can use it, so I'm sewing up some heating bags by hand. But I need the stitches to be really strong! Could someone tell me of a strong stitch-by hand that I could use? Thanks so much in advance!
