Behind the cut:
Christmas bikkies
Summer top
Quickie card idea

They're shortbread biscuits cut into star shapes. The stars on the front of the jars are made from aluminium foil, which is really fun to work with. These stars double as Christmas decorations. These ones were a bit of a rush job, but one Christmas I made them into all kinds of Mexican-looking designs. You can leave them silver or paint them, sanding the rough bits afterwards to expose the metal outlines. They look really pretty but are quite delicate. The foil is also available in copper. I'd suggest going to craftychica for inspiration on designs.

You're going to hate me for saying this... but it's midsummer here and stinking hot so I'm wearing this top I made. The stripes were a poly knit I got from an op shop for about a dollar (and I still have loads left!). I just sewed a sleeve for the ribbon, attached some pink ribbing to the bottom, and looked all over town for exactly the right ribbon for the ties...

So many of you do so many creative things with cards but it tends to be something I only think about when I'm already five minutes late. What to do? Dollar store iron-on/stick-on patches + bright cardboard = quickie card! Sometimes I add little jewels or draw on it as well. Last night's party had a fruit theme which was even better!
