i've made some christmas gifts.
i think some all of you crafty girls might enjoy looking at these, especially those into music. i hope you enjoy.
first for some christmas cards

these are about 3"x4" or so. made from cardstock and stamps. i punched two holes in the bottom to tie them shut, i didnt have any envelopes for them so i improvised. the lolipops are an added bonus =)

these are a few scarves i've made. the first is made from lion brand so soft, its about 5 inches wide and 7 feet long. skinny scarves are something different to give people, plus they knit alot faster. the middle one is unfinished, its my pride and joy so far. its taken me a long time to do it, i plan on giving it to my mom for christmas. i know she'll love it. its made of baby soft yarn, k2 p1 k1 p1 k1 until the end, its about 46 stitches wide. the last is also a skinny scarf that im working on, carons so soft i think. the yarn is rather shiny for an acrylic yarn.

firstly, the dog inside is constructed of a pair of socks. he needs eyes though. he is ubersoft though. he is sitting in a bag, which i made of records. i figure everyones doing the record album cover thing, now why dont they just make a bag from records? i used a thin record in this case, i used a paper cutter to cut it (you know the ones they have in school with the arm on a hinge and cuts straight lines) that was teh easiest thing for me, and then i sanded down the edges a bit which didnt damage the record at all. i assume you can do that heating and scoring and breaking off bit, but the paper cutter was more convinient. then i made a bag to fit it, and glued the record on. my initial idea was to drill holes along the edges and sew on some embroidery floss so it was stay to the bag and not risk falling off but i didnt feel like drilling. its rather small but so adorable.
