record bowl
Dec. 17th, 2003 02:21 pmhello again. i made my first record bowl today:
this was super easy to make. i followed the directions from the last post about making record bowls (put record on a bowl, bake at 225 for about 3 minutes, pull out of oven, flip over, and mold to your liking).
then i sprayed it with clear acrylic sealer to give it a glossy look. next, i used a power drill to drill holes around the circumference. thread craft wire through the holes and decorate the wire with glass faceted beads (i got mine from michael's). then just tie the ends of the wire together and use a pair of pliers to wrap the ends (so they don't scratch anyone).
i also printed a 4" x 4" picture on photo glossy paper, put it through the xyron machine (to laminate on one side, and make it a sticker on the other side) and stuck it in the middle.
