Jan. 18th, 2004 07:58 pmSo I am in the process of making a duvet cover for my fav blanket. I love the heavy wieght of it but it does not match my decor, so I figured I could make a duvet for it. So, If a duvet cover is basically a giant pillow case for a comforter, then how are you supposed to keep the blanket from buching up inside of it. I dont want to sew it directly to the blanket because it would be way to hard to wash that way. Any ideas???
PS.The duvet is a patchwork made of variuos grey cotton calicos. The back will be just plain fabric, probably just a plain sheet cut to fit. I am thinking that I will probably make it close in the style of an envelope like you do on pillow covers. I will post pics when and if I ever finish it.
