so i made a blanky. it's like the third i've ever made. photos/description behind the cut

the yellow used to be my great grandma's curtains. it's this yellow satiny stuff. it was taken from curtains to this blanket with 4 panels *2 on each side* and a layer of batting that was like 13513465 years old. it was also quilting. so when i got the blanket *i'd loved it since i was a kid* i was like hey i'll fix this up and use some of this yellow satin stuff cuz it's real pretty. and i tore out all the quilting and stitches, cut 3413461346 squares that were uneven cuz apparently i'm retardo, sewed em all together sewed that to a white sheet *the satiny stuff was SUPER thin from being old and so i sewed it to a white sheet so you couldn't see the stuffing through and to make it a lil more sturdy* used a layer of the old batting + 2 layers of new and backed it with this old blue blanket that i had too.

the things i don't like - the edging is weird sizes because apparently it wasn't placed in the middle of the blue when i laid it out on my livingroom floor. also my mom was attempting to help me with the corners as i had attempted at making it somewhat perfect and was struggling with stuffing all those layers under the needle *the foot was locked so i couldn't raise it* but instead of her attempting to make it look nice she just shoved it in closed her eyes and went on so the back looks real weird in the corners because it's a whole new line together/diagonal/blah. *sigh* i can't be like wow that looks bad and take it out tho cuz she was tryin to help so yeah.
