Just finished a little experiment. I wanted to make a bangle that would stay on my small wrists. Anyway, I came up with this. 100% polymer clay.

Right, so I rolled out about a 2/3rd inch thick log of black clay about 7 inches long around a skewer. I pressed this down against my work surface so I had one flattened end , trying to keep the round shape as much as possible.. next, I rolled out a 7 inch very thin sheet of black clay which I decorated with my clay design, in this case mokume gane.
Next, I carefully remove the skewer, trying not to distort my shape. Measured my wrist and cut my log to length (add an extra inch or less) Cut this in half, and wrap each half around your shape (I just shaped mine into a circle) it would work better if you made sure your edges met up around the shape...a beer bottle, a pop can, anything will work, both were too thick for my wrist.

Right then, I cured my piece, sanded and buffed. Ran an elastic cord through the holes left by the skewer and tied them together leaving quite a bit of give.. trimmed the excess elastic cord, and pulled it so the knot slid and hid into one of the holes.

I hope that was clear..I'm tired :)
