spin spin sugar.
Mar. 23rd, 2004 03:47 pmoh no! even more more crafty pursuits to further feed my grower fiber addiction monster!
i've been buying and looking at a lot of handspun yarn lately and so of course i thought, "hey! i wanna try this!" and one night in a fit of boredom, i made a cd spindle.

i had a little bit of leftover fiber from a felting experiment and so after hastily skimming some instructions i set about to spin it.

since i rushed through the instructions, i ended up spinning it "the wrong way" from the way i wanted to, but it was definitely fun. i was hooked and the next time i stopped in at my local yarn shop, i scooped up some more fiber from the back.

i didn't even really pay attention to what i got, but all i know is the bright colours always pull me in and i haven't even tried making something with this stuff yet, but i've got ideas. next step is to try plying.
