deftones shirt mod

craftgrrlthis is the shirt i made the other day.
it was originally a men's deftones tee, size large. they were out of mediums, but i liked the shirt, sooo i bought it and also some checkerboard shoelaces and last night while i was waiting for it to be time to go meet some friends, i sewed myself a halter.
its much more fun in real life, i promise. i sewed the sides kind of kooky, which is why i covered them with the extra shoelace. the shirt was a little long too, so while i was sewing the shoelace over the seams, i folded it every inch or so to make it shorter and gathered.
this is the first piece of clothing i ever really conceived of and sewed on a machine by myself so i am pretty damn proud of it. i've made stuff from patterns and made up a cell phone cozy and a purse and some stuff, but never something as cool as this!!
