satin and lace
Apr. 6th, 2004 09:53 pmI found a really neat lace overlay 50's dress to wear to a formal. Bad part is, its pretty much the same color as my skin and kinda bland. I was thinking of dyeing it, but it has sequins at the top and a synthetic lining and tulle puffer thing. I love the dress but I just wish it was a different color. Is this something I should try to do on my own, or could an alterations shop do something with it? I looked at the FAQ on dyeing lace and it seems feasible enough, but i worry about the sequins and other delicate stuff at the top. Any ideas?
