Lemur Goodness!

I finally had a chance to participate in the most recent FAX round, where lemurkat was the winner, huzzah!

I wanted to make something special for Kat, and many hours of sculpting, baking, painting, and mild frustrations later, here is the finished creation:

A lemur and her roach!






It was rather difficult to take pictures, as the piece is so large. It's a hanging dangle. It is suspended by woven and beaded wire. Kat and Chitter themselves are polymer clay. I painted them, and then adorned Kat with some very soft velvet cloth. After I secured them in the wire frame, I draped a ribbon over it.

I'm rather pleased with it.
