Stretching Fabric Over a Frame?

craftgrrlI have a really large (about 8 by 6 feet) piece of batik fabric which I've owned for about 9 years now. In the past week, I've decided that I'd really like to figure out some way to either frame it or find stretcher bars to mount it on. Has anybody tried this with fabric? Other than large enough stretcher bars and probably a staple gun, what other supplies would I need?
