yet another question

craftgrrlmy aunt gave me some sheer curtains the other day.
but they are eggshell and i want to dye them.
the rit dye website recommends not using their product on anything that has more than 50% polyester.
well these curtains are 100% polyester.
even though they were free, i don't want to ruin them.
so my question is, has anyone ever tried to dye sheer fabric?
or has anyone used rit dye on any fabric that was 100% polyester?
i appreciate any help or suggestions you all may have.
