Happy Doomsday!
May. 1st, 2004 06:35 pmHere's a little something I made for my boyfriend, a comic book junkie, a while ago.
It started out a plain jane Kraft Book notebook that can be found just about anywhere.
I photocopied some of his comic books, sticking with a particular villian, Dr. Doom.
Then I cut them down to fit the covers and modpodged them on.
He loves it.

It was my first real mod podge project and I didn't do it quite as well as I could have. I only modpodged the top of the front cover. It still looks pristine and isn't tacky at all. I should have modpodged the top of every cover because the toner from the copies rubbed off a tad since they weren't protected. I mention this in case anyone else is thinking about modpodging copier copies.
P.S. I replaced the price sticker on the inside back cover to make it seem as if I hadn't made it, but he called me on it. He's too clever or maybe he just knows me better than that.
