help!!

ive been asked to paint a large mural at a popular italian restaurant in my city. the space they are giving me is in a tri-fold shape (middle panel is static while the side panels are at slight angles). i thought some italian store fronts might be interesting, but another italian place around here has that theme already. another idea was to have a river with a bridge crossing over it... im about to hit up the local library and get some books on italy and art but in the meantime, if you guys have any creative ideas i would love to hear them! also, some of you asked how i painted my mothers day shoes.... all i did was mix acrylic paint with textile medium and theyre holding up great so far!
