Warhol Crafts for Kids
May. 30th, 2004 12:12 pmhi - i'm new but have been watching the community for a long time and love everything i see =] i wish i was atleast half as creative as you all out there
For my AP U.S. History research project i chose to do 2 paintings using Andy Warhol's Pop Art style (i was going to silkscreen them onto a canvas but silkscreening is a lot harder than i thought so i'm stenciling them on instead). Since i have never taken a art class before (well since middle school) i have no idea what paint i should use... i was thinking acrylic because it's 1) cheap and 2) there are tons of colors out there. any other suggestions??
Also as part of my project i will be presenting to an elementary school 4th or 5th grade class and i thought it would be a good idea to involve the kids with a craft that has to do with Warhol or Pop Art in general. However, I have absolutely no idea what i should do. Please PLEASE help!! I want something *fun* and that will keep the kiddies busy because last time i presented to their class i think half of them fell asleep =X
Thanks in advance!
