i've been itching to update this, but i haven't been able to, because i couldn't update my website at all... comcast was broken, and wouldn't let me sign on to their site to put all the files in place. grr. so annoying. but it works now. ::rejoices::
I think someone here had posted about a way to make old CD earrings... but they were in a funny shape, so i decided to make little circle ones.

these were actually slightly more difficult than they seem... i tried using cd-r's, but the foil that makes the thing acutally shiny flaked off... and when i tried to cut from aol cds, they shattered easily. so, i scored with a razor, and then cut it out... i just glued these on normal earring posts, but they would look really cool if you put them on some really large plugs...

next we have a lloverly hummingbird

taken from Bead and Button magazine, my first beaded project....

Done in square stitch, pattern taken from http://www.bead-patterns.com

idea taken from a bead&button special issue, used beads that i found in the basement, along with some felt for the ends. i still need to adjust the buttons though, it doesn't fit me quite right...

after finally getting my pasta machine, i cranked out some clay projects immediately...

i made some faux porcelain beads, and the idea again came from bead&button. i made a set of four, with chinese characters on each, and made them into this llovely hemp bracelet. this is a good closeup of my favorite bead... i'm really happy with the way the colors came out on this one.

i also cranked out a llovely checkered cane to make these adorable earrings... again, these would look cool on some plugs... maybe eventually i'll get around to making some beads to match!
