Jun. 10th, 2004 11:58 pmEvery bit of this skirt is thrifted, except the thread. The material came from a pillowcase that I chopped up, and the zipper and lace were just random finds that I had stockpiled. The lace bow isn't really crooked, it just looks that way in the picture. I basically made this skirt twice, since I didn't like how much the bottom poofed out the first time, and the waist didn't fit right, so I took it apart and re-did it. That's what happens when you don't use a pattern, whoops. I like how it turned out, though.

I had extra fabric (it was for an extra large pillowcase, I think), so I made a matching purse/wristlet. The outside is a thrifted sweater that I felted, and I had the zipper and button lying around from other craft projects. This is the first purse I've made, so I didn't do the world's best job on the zipper. Any tips for putting a zipper in a purse?

I hope that these pictures aren't too big. If they are, I'm sure I'll hear about it, and I'll be happy to fix the problem.
