First try at painting on t-shirts

craftgrrlHello everyone, Im' new here. Thanks to some spare time I could work on a little project.
I bought a T-shirt and decided to paint a little drawing on it. It is a combination between the USA flag and two strawberries.. Found it on an old Japanese magazine.
I painted at least two shades for each color (to make it brighter), and as soon as possible I'll iron it and pack it and give it to a friend for her birthday. I hope she'll like it :D
What do you think about it? And, an advice: should I mark all the edges with the black fabric marker, or can I leave it as it is?
