I want a really particular type of fondant wedding cake and don't really trust that any of the cake decorators are A. going to be able to make it and B. if I find one that can it will be too expensive. I am considering making my own cake. I know it sounds insane, but I want to try it out now(a year or so ahead) to see if I can do it. Does anyone know of any good wedding cake decorating books? I did a search at Amazon and was overwhelmed by the results. I know Colette Peters is the queen of wedding cakes, but does anyone know if her book is helpful and informative or merely a picture book to awe over? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. If I were to get good at this, I could do this for a living!
