fat chick sewing patterns?
Jun. 29th, 2004 07:59 pmhello again,
i was wondering if anyone knew of any good sources for fat lady sewing patterns? and not dated, ridiculous patterns like a lot of companies are pushing.
ive glanced over the plus-size pages on the sites for for butterick, mccalls, simplicity, all those guys (didn't take too long if you know what i mean), and didnt find anything that talked to me.
im pretty bummed because after a long, long hiatus from sewing, i'd forgotten that pattern sizing isnt done the normal-human-being way, but in a way that makes me wear like a size 300,000. so all of the patterns i'd picked out as possibilities turned out to not have my size. :(
i'm looking for something to make in striped cotton (1 dollar a yard! yes!), and it'd be cool if it had a mandarin collar. must have "1/3-length" or longer sleeves! does this sound familiar? any help would be greatly appreciated!
i hope there isnt a fat girl clothes thread in the memories, but i looked and i didnt see one. thanks!
