Threading A Serger?

craftgrrlI have a quick question and Im desperate! Im using my mothers Singer Serger and i was wondering if anyone knew how to thread it with one needle, but it still serges. My mom says it will do that, but I cant find the directions and she cant remember how to do it. Help?
