i have this desk that i inherited from my daddy when he died a few years ago. it's pretty old and gashed up, but it has sturdy bones. i was wondering what i should do with it. i'd like to keep the color, but there are nicks and scratches everywhere. there are also holes in the door on the right from missing hardware. i've never really done any projects before. please help! any ideas are welcome!






(this is from where one side of the hardware would come undone and rub against the wood.)
