Hey all,

I am planning to sew myself a nice seventies-ish brown-and-orange bikini and thanks to you guys I figured the straps out, but now I was wondering about fabric.. I know that lycra is the most common type of fabric for swimsuits and bikini's and such, but all the lycra fabric I could find so far is very tacky.
Are there any nice alternatives for lycra? Fabrics that are stretchy, non-seethrough and 'waterproof', but not so tacky as lycra?
I'd like a crotcheted bikini, but I've never tried that before and I need my bikini by next week, so that isn't an option.
Any ideas are welcome!
