I'm totally frustrated! I really wanna give this scarf crochet-ing thing a try. I went and got some Lion Brand Thick and Easy chenille yarn and a size N (9) hook. I read up SEVERAL tutorials online and am still at a loss about A) how to read "pattern" directions, and B) how to switch from one row to the next. Like, I stitch a chain...and then what? From what I glean, you flip the thing around and keep going, but I have ZERO idea as to how that hooks onto the chain beneath it. Does that make sense? And then, to add insult to injury, I totally don't get what the turning chain is all about (curse you, crochet.org!). I was going to try to whip one of these suckers out tonight, but...le sigh. Maybe I just need an actual person here to show me what's what, cause this is making me sad.
