crafty advice
Aug. 17th, 2004 07:32 pmI bought this cute little table at a kung-fu rummage sale this past weekend.

I want to paint it this color:

And then I have this awesome paper:

I want to decoupage this to the top and the front of the drawers.
Here's my question:
I was going to use mod podge to adhere the paper to the table. But I hesitate to use it to go over the top as well. If I'm going to put paper on the TOP of the table, I need whatever I'm sealing it with to be durable and waterproof. Should I go for a clear spray lacquer? A brush-on clear coat? Should I forget sealing it and buy a bit of glass to put on top?
I've never decoupaged onto anything like the top of a table. I'm lost!
