ideas for room dividers
Sep. 5th, 2004 10:09 pmi just moved into a new apartment with a friend of mine. everything is great... except for the fact that there is only one bedroom. as much as my roomate and i get along, we would both like to have privacy. luckily, the one bedroom is huge.. so we are trying to think of a way to divide it. our first thought was room divider screens, but they run about $50 each and we would need a good 3 or 4 of them.
another option i came up with was to build a structure out of pvc pipes/tubing (i think thats the correct title?) and have cemented bases.. then just sew some curtains and connect them with shower curtain hooks. has anyone ever worked with pvc before? would you have any tips for me? or any other alternative/cheap/crafty suggestions?
there are two doors so i was thinking of creating a whole new room and creating a hallway so we would each literally have our own room.
