knitting rules!

I've been a member for a long time, but I dont think I've posted yet... crazy
you guys have inspired me to learn to knit. i just started today and am really excited. So far, it doesnt look so good, but thats ok. it has the general pattern that it's supposed to, and that's the important thing. with some practice, I'll get better.
I dont have any pictures, but I also make the magnets. My fridge is almost covered! I also make little kid jewelry with pony beads and such, I find those are the best for me. I have a habit of breaking nice jewelry for some reason. I also have been making soaps (though not much, it gets a little too messy for my roommates to handle), collages on EVERYTHING, and I paint whatever I find to paint on.
I just wanted to mainly express how excited I am that I am learning to knit, finally.
