[before]

i forgot to take a picture before i repainted it...it was basically the same shade of dark green, but with more dings and scratches. this plate was part of a "golf set" at goodwill...it also had a cup with gold balls and tees on it. i just bought the plate for $1.

[after]

i like this plate's organic shape, so i paired it with some really organic wrapping paper from a book of "19th century french provincial" prints that i got at border's. and now it looks less "golfy!" and by the way, if you have a border's near you, you should really go pick up some of these wrapping paper books...they are on sale for $3.99 each and if you buy 2, you get one FREE! each one comes with about 6 different prints, and they are really some of the most beautiful papers i've ever seen.

also, this was my first attempt at modge podging. i think it came out okay...a little textured in places where i didn't want it to be. and i wish i'd bought glossy modge podge instead of matte. but, eh, you live and learn! :)

and my next make-over victims!! [dun-dun-dunnnnn!]:

$1 each from goodwill!
