my diy dayplanner
i don't normally make books quite like these, but it was really the best method for a dayplanner. the bookrings are 3/4" & allow the book to lay completely flat. they also allow you to add or remove paper. i used scrapbook paper to cover the boards. the book is approximately 5 1/4" by 4 1/4".
the inside cover
again i used scrapbook paper for the dividers. the paper was quite thick; however. intead of using words for each 'subject', i used stickers. i made these w/ my star hole punch & random stickers i already had. the orange rectangle is for my name, addy, etc.
the montly calendar
our microsoft word program is not working for some reason, so i chose to handwrite the calendars. i actually like this a lot better. the paper is from miniature yellow legal pads i found at walmart. i had to hole punch them, though. the orange & green boxes are partially covered by a bookmark divider i made. the boxes are actually mini post it squares.
the weekly calendar
i also wrote out the weekly calendars. i guess you'd have to be a bit anal to do this. you could easily do this w/ a spreadsheet program. you just have to ask yourself, "what's easier to manipulate; a computer program or my brain?"
the rest of the sections have yet to be completed as i have not decided what to put in them. addresses would be good, but i made an address book awhile back that i do not want to part with. i'll think of something.
the end.
