Darned if I didn't mean to post this earlier...if you're not sick of seeing Halloween costumes yet, feel free to take a look. Since I sewed everything that I made for it by hand, I'm pretty proud.

I suddenly had a party to go to and found out barely a week before Halloween, so I had to think of something that incorporated stuff that I had around the house and that I could make myself (since I rarely find any good 'plus-size' costumes while out shopping). I ended up sitting up each night after work in front of various horror movies and piecing this together:

My best accessory--can you believe that he used to be a pair of castoff pants?

The full "snake girl" outfit.

A closer look at the bodice, cut and sewed on piece-by-piece.

The snake, again, stretched out to show its shape [it was much more fun having a 'constrictor-type' boa, rather than the feathery kind...everyone was wearing it at some point that night :)].

The accessories: the shoes and tights, and snake-y cuffs (with green chrome nailpolish to match).

Plus, the snake makes for a great hat at the end of the night when you're sick of wearing it around your shoulders and hips!
