another christmas gift idea: i bought a small "travel pillow" at walmart for cheap (i think ~ 1.50??) and sewed a cover for it. i'm not great at finishing pillows, so when i got to closing it up i folded the fabric in and stitched 3 decorative buttons (flowers) to it, in a row and evenly spaced. does that make sense?? anyway, i'd intended to actually use it as a travel pillow, but with the pretty cover and buttons it actually is a great looking throw pillow. so, it's now on my couch and i'm picking up fabric to make more pillows for friends. they don't use a ton of fabric amd you can choose the fabric and buttons to customize them for the person's decor.
