my first - big - post!
Nov. 19th, 2004 08:52 pmHere are some of my crocheting efforts, and a few other crafty things I've done lately.
(I hope the pictures aren't too massive...)

This was one of the first things I made after my grandma taught me how to crochet. I got a little bit excited about mastering the art of going backwards and forwards in rows and had fun using up the remnants of all different yarns! I was too lazy to do things properly or fix up the ends so I just left them and ended up liking it.

Another early project.

I crocheted this bag with plastic string... it's too hot in summer to be working with wool so I thought I'd experiment.

Hat - same idea as the first bag.

Earlier in the year my friends and I got together and made cards to send to refugee children in detention centres. These are a few of our creations.

For my nan's birthday I made a set of gift cards and envelopes from cardboard and origami paper. I made these two smaller card from the leftovers. (The colours on the green one look a bit dodgy in the scan.)

Some notebooks I covered with old wrapping paper as birthday presents. I cut a square in the front of the green one before I covered it, then stuck the picture on a different coloured green cardboard on the inside.

Close up of the 'fish' notebook, sorry about the quality.
.... and that's it! Comments appreciated :)
By the way, I also wanted to say how awesomely creative and inspiring you all are! I hold you collectively responsible for the fact that I now spend half my time in front of the computer and the rest up to my elbows in fabric, glue and assorted other goodies :)
