From these pictures, it may seem that I've been busy crafting, but that would be untrue because it's taken me awhile to get all of this stuff made. I just made this first pair of earrings this weekend, though, and I really like how they turned out, considering that I haven't made any of this style before and they were mostly an excuse to try out my new pair of needlenose pliers.

Bikes! These make me happy.

I'm not so crazy about these two pairs, but eh, they were good practice and I'll still wear 'em.

From my earring collection, you might think that I am obsessed with birds, but I'm not.

My grandma taught me how to crochet last year, but I haven't done much of it (I prefer knitting), so I still have to consult my needlework book for any stitch other than a single crochet or chain. I still managed to make this hat, which my boyfriend had the gall to refer to as a "hairnet hat." I've since added a crocheted flower to this one, and made a similar one in cream (which my boyfriend also made fun of).
See how happy it made me? And then I got made fun of :-(

Oh, and I made those earrings that you can just see poking out from behind my hair.

So I am thinking about making some earrings in the style of the first pair, but in different colors, for my sisters and friends. Probably a little bit shorter than those, though. So my question is, will they make good presents? I thought about making hats as presents, too, but after the hairnet moniker was applied to them I decided against it.
