Nov. 30th, 2004 09:41 amI'm a very hands-on person, so I'm taking a one-on-one knitting class on Wednesday at 4.
I told the woman I wanted to make a simple hat on double pointed needles (just can't get the hang of them), so she told me to find a pattern and buy the yarn and needles.
Now, without spending too much money on yarn, I'd like to make this hat:

But it seems the yarn runs pretty expensive for a practice project.
So I'm wondering if any of you know of a not so high-end yarn I can substitute that can be found at Michael's or Jo-Ann's or Hobby Lobby.
Thanks in advance! <3
