Molded some more glycerin soaps last night. I found some little bundt-like tins at Value Village for $1.50--they have some really nice designs and shapes for soap. Went on an easter egg hunt for food coloring--four stores don't carry it. Frustration galore! So, I used honey, paprika, and cloves to color the glycerin. I also used dry milk, but it sort of speckled throughout the glycerin instead of making a creamy shade. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I have discovered that adding a teaspoon of honey cuts through the chemically glycerin smell. Maybe more expensive glycerin doesn't have an odor?

Will get some essential oils to scent more soaps this weekend. I'm getting cookie cutters from my mom--old fashioned ones I used as a child--to start making holiday presents for friends and family.

Wrapped the soaps I made last night individually in Saran Wrap, then bagged it in a scrap piece of cloth, tied the ends with yarn and voila! A nice hostess gift for our friends who are cooking Turkey today.
