Hey everybody,

I just got an old, ugly (but still functional) child's booster seat for free tonight. I picked it up for my niece, who will be ready to start using it soon. It's just like those plastic moulded ones you sit on in restaurants, and it's a blah-looking institutional beige color. I was thinking I could dress it up with some bright colored paint and then she'd be the boosterin'est kid on the block!

So...
What kind of paint would you recommend? I was thinking perhaps acrylic, and then seal it? It's got to be able to take a beating *and get washed/wiped fairly frequently. (You know, kids + food = mess.)
What might you recommend using for the sealant?

Thanks, all! :)

PS - Cool Crafty Tip: I received the seat (and many other cool potential craft things) from my local FreeCycle Yahoo! Group. If you are looking to make treasure out of someone else's trash - check it out!
